Horizon West is a cluster of purpose-built villages -- Hamlin, Independence, Waterleigh, Summerlake, Bridgewater and more -- spanning the Winter Garden and Windermere area a short drive from Disney. Hamlin's walkable town center anchors the district with shops and restaurants, while each village has its own schools, parks, and price range.
Zoned for Orange County Public Schools. New elementary schools have generally been built inside or within walking distance of each village as it's developed.
Almost every Horizon West community carries a CDD assessment, typically $1,500–$4,500 a year depending on the village and phase -- Waterleigh is a notable exception with no CDD at all. Always get the exact number before you offer.
